#333333;\">Phase 1 Results<\/span><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The most impactful neuroscience topic was how our brain creates our experiences.&nbsp;Using an optical illusion, we demonstrated that our brain quickly and efficiently processes sensory information, so that what we <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">experience<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">what is triggered <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">from our <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">past experiences<\/span><\/i> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">rather than the <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">truth<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. &nbsp;We emphasized that when we act on a &ldquo;gut&rdquo; reaction &ndash; or on an emotion &ndash; we are responding to what we have learned from past experiences, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">not <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to the current
