About Us

WHY GOOD WOLF?

Being human isn't easy. Our big, beautiful brain has given us immense power and remarkable achievements. But it also often urges us to act in ways that violate society's rules, threaten relationships, disregard the needs of those not like us, and threaten our own well-being. And this same brain deceives us into believing we are rational decision-makers, provides guilt about our own failings and anger about those of others, and reminds us of our own mortality.

We now face the possibility that our powerful achievements, used in the service of instinctual behaviors and traditional practices, could put our civilization, if not our species itself, at risk.

The Good Wolf Project is founded on the belief that we can use our higher cognitive capabilities, coupled with prosocial values, to achieve meaningful lives - and to build a world that supports individual well-being, healthy families, and thriving communities, now and into the future.
